Tour Plan

Day 01-02 Arrival & Preparation
  • Islamabad International Airport (ISB).
  • Meet outfitter team, firearm clearance (4–6 hour process).
  • Overnight at 5-star hotel, gear check with head guide.
  • Domestic flight to Gilgit (weather-dependent).
  • If canceled: Begin 12-hour road transfer via Karakoram Highway.
  • Overnight in Hunza (acclimatization at 8,000 ft).
Day 03 Approach to Shimshal
  • 4WD transfer to Shimshal village (6–8 hours).
  • Cliffside roads with 1,000m+ drops.
  • Arrive at Pakistan’s highest year-round settlement (10,000 ft).
  • Guesthouse stay: Hot shower, traditional dinner. 
Day 04-05 Trek to Base Camp
  • Yak caravan loaded at dawn.

  • Camp setup in glacial valley beneath Disteghil Sar peak.
Day 06-08 Hunting Days

    • 15:00: Return to camp (earlier if successful).

Day 09 Return to Shimshal
